Recently some of the department managers have told me that some employees`sbusiness English is so poor that they cannot work effectively.Therefore ,I am writing to inform you of this and to present my proposal to solve this problem.
Some of the employees of the adles department are not able to communicate with coustomers,which results in loss of potential costomers. Besides,some employees in our marketing department, though they have passed Public English Test System, are poor in business English so they did not perform well enough in the previous marketing presentations.In addition,some employees are not only poor at oral business English but also at business writing . What is worse, some of them write terrible sentences in daily memos or emails to our customers.As a resule ,they fail in communicating with people, which leads to poor work.
To solve the problem and to improve work efficiency, it is suggested that those employess shoule be trained in terms of international business English.We are planning to organize in-service training course to improve their business English .We will invite a well-known business English expert , Professor Smith from Beijing Advanced International Business English Training Center to our company to teach international business English.
The in-service training courses,which last for 3 months, ari divided into two kinds:intermediate level and advanced level.The classes take palce twice a week:on Tuesday and Friday from 16:00 p. m. to 18:00 p. m.There is a size limit of each class. As to the number of the limitation, We are to tell the department managers to hand in a name list of the participants.
It is very obvious that it is urgent to improve our employees`business English. Now that it is not the busiest season of the year, employees can afford time to improve business English. I think the training courses will be effective.

最近,许多部门经理向我反映,一些员工的商务英语很差,影响了工作的有效进行。因此,我写这封信向您提出解决这个问题的建议。
在销售部门,由于一些职员无法与顾客很好地沟通,导致潜在客户丧失。此外,我们市场部的一些职员虽然通过了全国公共英语等级考试,但是在商务英语方面仍然有欠缺,这就影响了他们在上次市场报告中的发挥。而且,有些雇员不只是在商务英语口语方面很差,在商务英语写作方面的只是也很贫乏。更糟的是,有些雇员在写日常备忘录或是像我们的顾客写邮件时,很多句子错误百出,这就导致与顾客交流时出现问题从而影响工作。
为了解决这个问题,同时也为了提高我们的工作效率,我建议应该对雇员进行国际商务英语的培训。我们计划为哪些商务英语水平较差的员工组织在职进修班来提高商务英语水平,我们会从北京高级国际商务英语培训中心邀请商务英语专家史密斯教授来进行授课。
这次在职进修班会持续3个月,并分为两个级别:中等水平和高等水平。课程每周2次,即每周二和周五的16:00到18:00。由于课程对人员数量有限制,我们会要求各部门经理递交一份参与者名单,根据实际情况来决定。
很明显,我们的当务之急是进一步提高员工们的商务英语水平。由于现在不是工作最繁忙的季节,员工们也可以抽出时间来提高自己的商务英语水平。因此,我认为如果培训课程组织有序的话,效果一定会很明显的。
